I Hope They'll Smile

I can only think of one or two occasions when I've driven home from a photo shoot and thought, "Oh yeah. I nailed it! These are going to be good." I frequently feel overwhelmed by what I don't know and disappointed about how far I still need to go to reach my potential. I'll be honest, I've shed a few tears over this hobby. haha!

Luckily, there are moments when I realize exactly why I'm doing this. While I was editing these pictures today of this sweet girl and her mama, I realized that these are the moments I want to capture for people. I don't have the most expensive equipment yet (although it is on my Christmas list for the next decade), my composition isn't always perfect, and I certainly have a lot more to learn.

But...

I think I can capture the heart of something.

I hope this little girl and her mom will look at these pictures in twenty years of them playing on the beach and smile.
